	Steel Slitting Line - High Application Complexity Soft Control were contracted to develop all Siemens Software for the multiple operations required for this Steel Slitting Line for Luxembourg. The program was developed to ensure detailed and accurate reporting of any alarm condition. Extensive automatic facilities ranged from automatic material loading and unloading, tool change and tread up of sheet steel. Speed control of the Multiple Drive System included Tension Control, Calculation of rotational speed of constantly varying diameters and automatic ramp down to allow a controlled "tail out" Siemens PLC was used for the main control task fitted with distributed I/O and a HMI
